The Expository Notes of Dr. Thomas L. Constable

********

Thomas Constable’s Expository Notes... (hereafter simply referred to as CEN) is a great addition to the TW library. In my opinion, Dr. Constable strikes the nearly perfect balance of academic accuracy with student simplicity. It does what a good commentary should do: rightly & reverently explain the text.

Typical of a Costas Sergiou premium module, CEN works well with TW.

Notice Screenshot #1. You’re looking at the commentary for 2Tim 3:14-17. You can tell that by checking out the Book Tree. If you’ll check the “slider,” you’ll notice that you can only see about half of the information for this section, so there’s ample commentary for just 4 verses (if you’ll look closely at the screen, you can tell that all of the unseen material is on 2Tim 3:16-17). Hovering your mouse over a Scripture reference produces a nice pop-up.

The second Screenshot shows another nice use of the pop-ups: footnotes. I’ve always figured that if an author went through the trouble of including a footnote, I want to know what it says. I can’t think of a better way to do that than with pop-ups.

The CEN is formatted for theWord at $34.95. This is a great resource that everyone will profit from using.
