Groves-Wheeler Westminster Hebrew Morphology

********

This module provides for incredibly detailed searching of the Hebrew text of the Old Testament (Leningrad Codex). This module is built for everyone who wants to study in depth the text of the Hebrew Old Testament.

On first view, it looks like WHM/WHMC is similar to how the RMAC codes work for some of the NT Bible texts. That would be a correct assessment, by the way. But WHM/WHMC is far more powerful than anything the RMAC can do with a Greek text.

Notice screenshot #1. You’ll notice that the Bible view of the WHM has Hebrew words and blue codes - just like the familiar RMAC for the NT. It works in exactly the same fashion, too: hover over it, and a nice pop-up occurs; click it, and the dictionary moves the the identical entry. But there is way more.

Take a look at screenshot #2. Perform a “lemma” search on the Hebrew word “bara” (בָּרָ֣א) with a detailed TW search, and you’ll be able to see all the results. Click on one in the search window, and WHM goes straight there. Right click the Hebrew word (not the morph), and you’ll get incredibly precise opportunities to search all of the Hebrew dictionaries in your arsenal., including the lemma & the exact Hebrew word. Wow!

Let me summarize: this tool can be used like an “OT RMAC” for those with little or no Hebrew knowledge; but to maximize the purpose of this module, and intensive knowledge of the Hebrew language is necessary. (But for the price, it’s worth it even if you only use it as an “OT RMAC.”)
