A Series of Excellent Internet Links

One of my favorite authors is Josh McDowell. If you’ve ever read any of his apologetic materials, then you can understand why. He is - bar none - the best apologetics writer I’ve ever studied.

One of his classic works is “Evidence That Demands A Verdict.” He wrote a second volume by the same name (but the second volume isn’t as good, in my humble opinion). Some years later (maybe in celebration of it’s 20th anniversary ?), he released an edited version of both volumes called “A Ready Defense,” which is one of the most important reference books on my shelves. Well, imagine my delight when I found a version of it online!

I immediately wanted to share it with all of my eSword friends - but lo! and behold, it is still under copyright and therefore not distributable. So I learned a lesson: copyright material might live on the web, but you still can’t distribute it. You can only read it.

And then it hit me - maybe I can’t distribute it, but I can tell people where it is. And thus was born the “Internet Anthology” series. The internet is full of great copyrighted text that can’t be shared; but their locations can be! So the series is really a way to share my bookmarks with others who are interested in Bible study.

Once you’ve arrived at a given site, you’ll be able to read, copy, and paste right into your own study notes; and often, you can even download .pdf files on your hard drive. Anything - as long as you don’t redistribute the text.

So enjoy these bookmarks. I think you’ll find some outstanding Bible study content in these pages.
